Graphically, Rouge Leader is the first truly stunning game on the Gamecube. The textures are dead on, ships look like ships, and motion is smooth. The game also takes advantage of HDTVs giving the gamer the full experience. People who walk in this game while someone is playing, will think your watching the movie.
The sound is equally as stunning. Rouge takes full advantage of Dolby Digital Pro Logic 2. For those of you with a digital processor, you'll notice you can hear everything around you. If a ship is flying behind you, it sounds like it is behind you. I know gamers, including myself, that have come to rely on the sounds in this game to know when you have to worry about that boggy on your six.
The gameplay also holds up amazingly well. The game takes you through over 12 levels all based on movie gameplay. You can run through the death star run, or the ambush at Endor. They also included upgrades and metals to find and earn. The game has a large amount of features to explore that shouldn't leave any gamer empty handed.
If you have ever dreamed of being Luke Skywalker then this is the game for you. We at the SMRC recommend this to all Star Wars fans. We also recommend it for anyone that could even stand star wars.
